Verb To Be in The Simple Past Tense

تكوين فعل يكون في الماضي:

1_ Was                                                                             

 بمعنى كان ويأتي مع الضمائر والاسماء المفرد.

 * He, She, It, I   was 

 مثال:                                                       

He was 6 years last month

2_Were                                                                             

بمعنى كانوا وتأتي مع الضمائر والاسماء الجمع*They, We, You were

مثال:                                                      

. They were in Grade 7 last year

The negation Using was, were

طريقة نفي was, were                                                                     

*نضع كلمه not  =n't           

 .He was not at home yesterday

.They weren't happy last friday

        . The Usage of was, were

    1_ تستخدم was, were كفعل اساسي إذا اتي بمفره في الجمله                            

 2-يستخدموا كفعل مساعد في زمن الماضي المستمر                                    

مثال :                                                         

 . They were playing football at 6 o' clock yesterday

    3_يستخدم في تكوين المجهول ازمنة المجهول                                                

                             . The land was irrigated last friday
