الفعل في المصدر+ اعتاد عليUsed to

* بمعني اعتاد على فعل شئ في الماضي ولم يفعله الان ويأتي بعدها الفعل في المصدر بدون اضافات.

مثال :

. I used to ride a bike, but now I don't *

He used to wake up early, now he doesn't *

في السؤال :

? What did you use to do when you were young

لاحظ هنا استخدام المصدر use to

السؤال بهل :

? Did you use to get up early when you were young

. Yes, I did

. No, I didn't

لاحظ أيضا استخدام المصدر use to

في النفي :

تنفي used to ب didn't use + المصدر

. I didn't use to get up early when I was young *

* تستخدم used to لوصف شئ كان موجود في الماضي ولكنه لم يكن موجودا الان .

مثال :

. That shop used to sell cycles

Be +used to +V+ing**

بمعني اعتاد على فعل شئ في الماضي وما زال يفعله الان اي مستمر.

أو بمعنى اخر تعبر عن شي انت متعود على فعله وتفعله في الوقت الحالي.

ويأتي بعدها ing

مثال :

. I am used to getting up early *

لاحظ :

الفعل يأتي مضاف له ing

1) I / live in a flat when I was a child [ I used to live in a flat when I was a child ]
2) ?We / go to the beach every summer [ Did we use to go to the beach every summer ]
3) She / love eating chocolate, but now she hates it [ She used to love eating chocolate, but now she hates it
4) He / not / smoke [ He didn't use to smoke ]
5) I / play tennis when I was at school [ I used to play tennis when I was at school ]
6) She / be able to speak French, but she has forgotten it all[ She used to be able to speak French, but she has forgotten it all ]
7) He / play golf every weekend?[ Did he use to play golf every weekend ]
8) They both / have short hair[ They both used to have short hair ]
9) Julie / study Portuguese[ Julie used to study Portuguese ]
